Sandy's journey with yoga began over 10 years ago as a means of physical activity. However, when she was on the mat, yoga became something deeper for her. She noticed that besides her strength and flexibility increasing, she was able to clear her head, leave all the stress outside, and find peace.
Sandy's "Why" for pursing Yoga Teacher Training was a result of her experience after attending a yoga retreat to cope with her grief after losing her mother. The yoga retreat transformed her physically and mentally. She wanted to introduce the transformative power of yoga to others.
Sandy completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with New Jersey Yoga Teacher Training. She believes that practicing yoga regularly can be grounding and can increase strength and flexibility.
Sandy founded Lotus Asana Yoga to create a community where everyone regardless of age, experience, or background can explore the powerful benefits of yoga.
Her teaching style emphasize the union of mind, body, and breath; and is adaptive to all levels wherein props are utilized, and modifications provided to meet student needs and capability. When taking her class, she wants you to feel empowered through movement and united with your highest self.
